Asphalt Paving Superintendent
Key Duties
Oversee multiple facets of municipal and highway paving projects. The Asphalt Paving Superintendent oversees the working foreman and daily activities at the work site project. This person is responsible for the overall progress of the project, scheduling the work crew and managing the delivery of equipment and materials.
This person will work with contractors, owners and representatives to complete the project within the given budget and time frame in a safe, productive and professional manner.
Education/Expertise
- High School diploma or equivalent; 5+ years related heavy highway road construction experience with minimum 3 years previous field crew supervision experience
- BS or BA in Construction Management, business or related studies desirable
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate and problem solve effectively
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required with the ability to handle multiple projects and scheduling
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel is required
